New Adventures

Here I am on my first long car trip to Great Grandma Annie's house in Long Lane. She was so excited to meet me. Her late husband, my Great Grandpa Buell Nicholas is who I was named after.

While I was at Great Grandma Annie's, Kelly and Anna stopped by to visit too. Kelly had the touch to get me to fall off to sleep.

Here I am sporting an intentional smile that I have started to do in the last few days. Mom and dad are pretty proud of the cooing I have started too.

This is dad and I taking in some Saturday afternoon football. Dad's Mizzou Tigers are having a great year. They even came close to upsetting Uncle Travis' Oklahoma Sooners!!!

I have become a big fan of the binkie as of late. It can usually quiet me down if I get upset.

Here I am all dressed up, getting ready to leave for my friend Ethan's birthday party. The party was so much fun, I slept through the whole thing.

Here I am sporting my Cardinals outfit. Thanks Krista for giving us the hand me down. We love it.

I have been getting really good at sticking out my tongue. I did this a lot last week when mommy and meemaw took me for my first professional pictures at the mall.

Meeting New Friends

Here mom, dad, and I are at our first Sunday at church. They even put a rose on the alter in my honor.

Now that I have been home for 3 weeks, I have had sooooo many visitors stop by to meet me. Of course I had to pose with each of them.

Blane is a pretty cool cousin and Aunt Stephanie is too.

Aunt Sherrill spent a couple of days with me and she was really good at getting me to go off to sleep and I didn't cry once for Rachel while she was holding me. I will make sure and belt out some tunes next time she holds me.

Here I am sporting my baseball jersey. Too bad the Cardinals aren't in the playoffs to have a team to root for.

Settling in at home

Here I am about to leave the hospital for my first trip out into the world.

I am settling in at home. The first night was a rough one. I kept mom and dad up all night. I decided to lighten up a bit and slept for 2-4 hour spurts the last 2 nights and mom and dad were much happier with me.

I got all dressed up in my pirate outfit to meet my doctor for the first time. I was pooped after the long trip. I guess I am like my mom, always trying to lose weight because I dropped to 7 pounds 2 ounces. I think I am getting bigger by the day now though since mommy's milk came in.

My first bath was a rough one. What is up with all the wet stuff and people rubbing all over me? I have to admit I smell much better with the lotion on though.

Mornings are when I am the most alert. Mommy and meemaw were trying to get me to pose like a movie star for a picture for my birth announcement. I was teasing them by not smiling and always turning my head right when the flash went off. I even gave them a salute in one picture.

Both sets of my grandparents can't keep their hands off of me. I sure can't wait for them to spoil me rotten.

Daddy and I are getting to be best buds. He has even learned to change a pretty mean diaper. He still hasn't set the world's record for the fastest change, but I have seen tons of improvement.

At the hospital

Our water broke this morning at 5:30. We have been at St. John's since 6:30 and we are dialted to 3cm. Hopefully we will continue to progress so we don't have to have pitocin. We will keep you all updated.
