Say Cheese

Well mom took me for my 1 year old pictures (you know mom, always having to have things scheduled out....I was only 11 months in the pictures). I had fun, but by the end was tired of the photographer waving the dusting wand in my face.

Here I am forcasting being a future "all stater" in three sports.

Yes, mom made me have an outfit change too.

Mr. Independent

Lately I have found it more fun to push the stroller than to ride in it. Mom hopes I don't continue this trend or it will mess up her running routine every morning.

Outside I sure love the mulch and have even got it as far as my mouth on several occasions.

Here I am sporting my new outfit from Grandma Jackie. It was a chore getting me to leave the hat on for the picture but I did.

Here I am cheesing it up with Aunt Ginger and Aunt Stephanie at Grandma's house.

This summer mom has been taking me to story time at the library every Thursday. It sure is fun. They have different toys to play with that I don't have. My weekly library partner was Luke. He is a swell dude. On the last day, we happened to both have on our Cards outfits.

Once again, when I am outside, I like to do things myself like watering flowers for mom and Meemaw.

I was a bit surprised to wake up one morning and find a big obstacle in my living room. Mom and dad decided to put a coffee table right in my walking path. Its not bad though, I like to mess with the drawers and put my fingerprints all over it.

An "Incredible" Trip

To celebrate an early birthday for cousin Gage, we went to Incredible Pizza. I had so much fun for my first trip to the sensory overloaded place. Here I am playing on the squishy car.

The ball pit was fun, but I was just a little to little for this, but the pony ride was exciting.

I really liked the space ship because it went up and down and the train was a close second.

I may turn into a Nascar fan after riding this car. It was a thrill. I wasn't too crazy about the pizza, but eating in the 50's diner was fun!

Here Gage is sporting his birthday gifts of Red Sox attire. He was pretty excited. And yes, I still scrunch my nose.....mom had to put this one on too.

This time it was Meemaw who wanted to do some "Senior" picture shots. All 3 of us boys were not too thrilled.

The only way I would pose for this picture was having a Sunkist bottle in my hand. I thought it was a pretty good trade.

One more attempt at a Senior picture and I was NOT in the mood!!

Finally, mom and Meemaw just let me walk around and play. Now that's more like it.

Meet Me in St. Louis

We started out the trip to St. Louis with lunch at Cracker Barrel with my friend Ethan's family. It was a lot of fun. In the first picture I am relaxing in the Mizzou rocker outside the restaurant until Ethan arrived.

Then we got checked in at the hotel and mommy attempted to get me down for a nap, but with all the excitement I didn't sleep too long. We headed out early for the game for the coveted pictures with the players. Well, unfortunately for mommy, daddy, Meemaw, Peepaw and the rest of Busch Stadium, I was wanting no part of that. I had a major meltdown in the heat and screamed my head off. So mommy and Meemaw took me into an air conditioned restaurant and fed me. Then I was ready for some action.

Here are some Cheek family shots at our seats. Once the whole picture ordeal was over and we got to our seats, it was nice and cool with the sun setting behind us.

I liked the game for about 3 innings. I did watch Sir Albert bat, but then I got a little uninterested. I just preferred to toddle everywhere so mommy and Meemaw let me navigate the concourse at the top of our seating section.

There were plenty of things to keep me busy besides watching the game. The first was dragging Meemaw's purse all over the place and also playing with mommy's camera case.

I also liked to peer over the edge of the stadium and wave at all the cars passing below......and the misting fan Meemaw bought me for the trip was definitely a highlight.

Day 2 started off with a bang "literally" as we got to the zoo bright and early and it started to thunderstorm. We hid out in the amphitheater while the monsoons hit. Once it was over, we had a great day.

Here I am looking at the fish and the turtles.

I wasn't too crazy about petting the guinea pigs, but I did like to watch the insects and the tarantulas. That was the part where daddy was a wimp.

The best part of the kids petting zoo had to be playing with the Jeep. I definitely gave mom and dad a few hints that I would like one of these.
Dad and I had to pose in front of the honking geese and I loved the sounds that the seals made when they stuck their heads above the water.
By the time we got to the baboons and the chimps I was asleep in the stroller, but dad really enjoyed watching these animals.
And finally, I absolutely loved the carousel. I like to play "musical animals" switching from one to the other to make sure I got my monies worth.
